Refund, Cancellation, and Token Payment Policy
1. Security Deposit Refund
- A refundable security deposit of ₹5,000 to ₹10,000 will be collected at the start of the rental period, based on the type of vehicle and agreement with the vehicle owner.
- The deposit will be refunded in full within 3-5 business days after the vehicle is returned in proper condition, with no damages or outstanding dues.
- Deductions may occur in cases of:
- Damage to the vehicle.
- Traffic violations during the rental period.
- Late return beyond the agreed time.
2. Token Payment Policy
- To confirm your booking without paying the full amount upfront, you can opt for a token payment.
- Payment Range: Token amounts start from ₹50.
- Adjustability of Token Payment:
- Token payments of ₹500 or less will not be adjustable in the final rental amount.
- Token payments of more than ₹500 will be adjustable against the final rental cost.
- The remaining balance must be paid before or at the time of vehicle handover.
- Terms for Token Payment:
- Token payments are non-refundable if the customer cancels the booking.
- If Karayana or the vehicle owner cancels the booking, the token payment will be refunded in full or applied toward a new booking.
3. Cancellation Policy
- For Cancellations Made by the Customer:
- More than 48 Hours Before Pickup: Full refund of the booking amount, minus a 5% processing fee. (Token payments excluded unless otherwise stated.)
- 24–48 Hours Before Pickup: 50% refund of the booking amount.
- Less than 24 Hours Before Pickup: No refund will be issued.
- For Cancellations by Karayana/Vehicle Owners:
- A full refund of the booking amount, including the token payment, will be provided.
- An alternative vehicle will be offered at the best possible price, subject to availability.
- If no alternative vehicle is available, a ₹500 discount voucher will be provided for future bookings.
4. Alternate Vehicle Policy
- If the promised vehicle is unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., breakdown, double booking):
- Karayana will arrange an alternative vehicle that closely matches the original booking in terms of type, condition, and price.
- If the alternative vehicle has a higher price, Karayana will provide it at the best discounted rate for the customer.
- If no alternative vehicle is available, a full refund and a ₹500 discount voucher will be provided for future bookings.
5. Modifications to Booking
- Changes to booking dates or times can be made up to 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time, subject to availability.
- A ₹300 fee may be charged for modifications.
6. Early Returns
- If the vehicle is returned earlier than the agreed rental period, no refunds will be issued for the unused duration.
7. No-Show Policy
- If the customer fails to collect the vehicle at the scheduled time without prior notice, the booking will be considered a "No-Show," and no refunds will be provided.
8. Dispute Resolution
- In case of disputes over refunds or cancellations, Karayana will mediate between the customer and the vehicle owner to resolve the issue fairly.
